1. 🎯 Purpose

This policy outlines how Enfort collects, uses, stores, and discloses personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988. It applies to all staff, contractors, and clients engaging with Enfort’s services, including NatHERS assessments.





2. 📦 Scope

This policy applies to all personal information collected by Enfort in the course of delivering services, conducting assessments, and fulfilling compliance obligations. It includes information collected directly from individuals and indirectly via software platforms or third-party providers.





3. 🔍 What We Collect

We may collect personal information including, but not limited to:

• Contact details (name, address, phone number, email).

• Property details relevant to assessments.

• Photographs or images of home features (e.g. light fittings, appliances, window glazing).

• Assessment documentation and correspondence.

We take all reasonable steps to avoid capturing personal or sensitive information in photographs or other records. Assessors are trained to focus on technical features and respect household privacy.





4. 🧾 How We Use Your Information

Personal information is used solely for the purpose of:

• Conducting thermal performance assessments.

• Preparing compliance documentation.

• Communicating with clients.

• Fulfilling audit and quality assurance obligations.

• Providing other services, such as insulation and draughtproofing installation, collecting data required for detailed and accurate quotes for works by Enfort or another third party provider, as consented to by the client.





5. 🔄 Disclosure and Third Parties

• Enfort may disclose personal information to the NatHERS Administrator (within DCCEEW), Victorian Energy Upgrades (VEU) program administrators, and Residential Efficiency Scorecard program administrators, as well as independent auditors acting on their behalf of these departments. This is only for the purposes required to perform the relevant assessments or client feedback/audit processes. Clients may opt out of any feedback/audit processes at any time.

• We may also share relevant personal information for the purpose of referring clients to other appropriate services, but only where the client has explicitly agreed to such referrals.

• We do not sell or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Personal information means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether true or not, and whether recorded in a material form or not.





7. 🏠 Respecting Your Privacy During Assessments

We ask clients to take simple steps to protect their privacy before assessments:

• Remove personal documents and sensitive items (e.g. medications) from view.

• Clear access to fittings, appliances, and equipment.

• Discuss any specific privacy concerns with your assessor.

Our team is committed to respectful, transparent communication and will work with you to manage privacy appropriately.





8. 🔐 Data Storage and Security

• Personal information is stored securely using encrypted systems and access controls.

• Only authorised personnel may access client data.

• We retain information only as long as necessary for compliance and service delivery.
