What is a Sucker Door Fan?

The Sucker Door Fan is designed to depressurise the house to allow the sources of draughts to come to life and be easier to locate, document and resolve.

  • We open an external door to your house and insert the Sucker Door Fan in its place.

  • The Sucker Door Fan blows air out of the house, in turn, pulling air in through gaps and cracks.

What Should I Expect as a part of the Draught Detection Audit?

  • We run the Sucker Door Fan for up to 1 hour and assess the house.

  • A few different methods are used to locate the air rushing into the house including using smoke from incense, the damp back of your hand, or tissue paper. Clients often enjoy assisting in this process.

  • Locations of the draughts are tagged and documented.

  • Solutions recommendations are provided for each different type of gap and draught as part of the supplied report.
